Beekman Point Engineering provided comprehensive mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, and commissioning services for the CBI Florence food processing and distribution facility. Our HVAC design encompassed office areas, conference rooms, entry spaces, dry storage areas, IT rooms, and interstitial spaces, including ventilation, exhaust, humidity control, and heating systems tailored to support facility operations. The electrical design included power distribution, surge protection, lighting systems, exterior site lighting, low-voltage infrastructure, grounding systems, and emergency generator integration. Plumbing services included domestic hot and cold water distribution, sanitary waste and vent systems, floor and trench drainage systems with solids collection, grease interception, natural gas distribution, and provisions for specialized process systems including ozonated water and compressed air where required. Fire protection services included sprinkler hazard analysis, system zoning, riser coordination, pump evaluation, and seismic review to support delegated sprinkler design. In addition to construction administration services, Beekman Point Engineering provided commissioning services for the facility’s mechanical systems, including operational testing, controls verification, and site reviews to document as-built conditions. All major systems were evaluated against the design intent and sequences of operation to ensure reliable performance, maintainability, and long-term operational success.
